Installed easily, worked. Jul 30, 2011

I chose this controller for a small system which would experience frequent use from an inexperienced person. The LVD load shut-off was deemed a necessary feature. The documentation is great, which was otherwise sorely lacking in the competition on Amazon. Hooked it up (really simple) and it worked the first time. Feels built really well. If it lasts, we'll be very happy with it.

Works as advertised, wished it displayed more information. May 16, 2011

"After all the identity theft with the internet, Amazon insists on a real name for this? What horseshit!"
I have just a little bias against this controller, not for lack of ability, but I'd been spoiled by a previous product which gave me instant visual status, and a toggle for LVD. The SunSaver has neither. Instead, it has green LED that is always lit during sunshine. If I want to know it's charging status is, I must measure the charging Current and guess. (Large Current - charging , Small Current - floating ).
In fact, if I hadn't invested in deep cycle batteries with higher charge requirements, I'd have kept my previous controller. The SunSaver pushes 14.3 VDC into my wet SLA batteries, and their resting voltage is right around 13.7 VDC, which is what it is supposed to do.
Works very well with my solar setup. Apr 06, 2012
By Brian It works well. It starts charging the battery from a low voltage, and keeps a good steady voltage to the battery. The construction is very sound and I believe would take a beating. It's drop dead simple to hook up. Doesn't have any frills.

By Matthew Brenengen Really well made, solid metal controller. It would be nice to have a voltage meter on it, but it works well, and is flexible enough to use with a range of panel and battery types. I bet this will work forever. I got it specifically because it has a low voltage cut-off, but I sort of question whether it might cut off at a bit higher voltage than is necessary.
SunSaver Solar Charge Controller Jan 07, 2012
By L. Haas I have used my SunSaver Solar Charge Controller with a single 60W panel since 1999, and had no problems. The battery I am using has been in service since for 9 years and still works fine. I would recommend this controller to anyone who has a smaller system.
