Hands-Free Lighting
Weighing just 2-3/4 ounces, the Streamlight Enduro LED Headlamp is one of the lightest, most compact headlamps on the market. It fits comfortably to your head and adjusts to focus on the work you're doing, leaving your hands free to perform electrical work, set up a tent, look under the house, consult a manual, and more. You can use the Enduro anywhere you use a regular flashlight, but you'll have both hands available to perform the task at hand.

Hat Clip Provides Additional Wearing Options
A hat clip that is built into the design of the Enduro provides additional options for clipping the headlamp to the brim of your hat, your coat's lapel, or your car's visor. When the head strap just gets in the way, you can use the hat clip for a lighter, smaller profile option.

The Advantages of LED Technology
An LED is ideal for lights that are used often and over an extended period of time. You don't have to worry about breaking the light, since there is no glass or filament, and you rarely have to replace LEDs because they can last a lifetime. Save time and money on batteries as well--they will last much longer with an LED than with a regular light bulb.

High-Flux LED Provides Bright, Powerful Illumination
With the option for a 1/2-watt, high-flux LED with a 30,000-hour life or an ultra-bright green LED with a 50,000-hour life, you'll never have to replace a bulb again. Protected by an unbreakable polycarbonate lens, the Enduro provides options for low- or high-beam mode, and solid-state power regulation provides maximum light output throughout battery life no matter which LED you choose.

The Enduro is powered by two "AAA" batteries (included).

Push Button and Tilting Head for Convenient Operation
Designed for convenience and ease-of-use, the Enduro features a handy push-button switch at the top of the unit for quickly turning on and switching between the low- and high-intensity modes. The head tilts to reduce neck strain and allows you to focus the light as needed.

Durable Components for Extended Use
Made with an O-ring-sealed, impact-resistant, drop-tested housing, the Enduro comes with an adjustable rubber/elastic head strap that wraps comfortably around your head, cap, or hard hat for a secure fit. It is waterproof to 1 meter for up to one hour.

The Streamlight Enduro LED Headlamp is backed by a manufacturer's limited lifetime warranty.

5great value  Feb 27, 2009
By H. Rourke
This headlamp was given a good review in Backpacker Magazine and when I saw the price, I couldn't pass it up. Nice, very light headlamp. Not sure why they use the over-the-head strap? The light is so light that the headband alone would be fine but that's a picky issue. I also bought the Burton RL4 Brunton RL4, 3 White & 1 Red LED Headlampat the same time, like both equally. The Streamlight has a longer focused beam throw while the Brunton has wider spread and a red LED feature I like when I don't want to mess up my night vision. For the price of the Streamlight 61400, you can't lose.

Excellent product at reasonable price. I like the two AAA battery feature, becausse it is light and convenient to recharge if we use rechargeable batteries. Recommended.

5Love it.  Aug 06, 2009

This was the rave at our last group camping trip. All the kids wanted one. Ofcourse, we only had enough for our kids + 2 more (which were supposed to be for us parents) to lend. Then I saw it for a little less @ Target. Think of all the things you'll need light for hands free: preping/cleaning meals after sunset, going to the porta pottie, etc. Who wants to scramble with the flash light in one hand while doing your business? A must have on your next camping trip.

2Powerful Single LED Streamlight 61400 Enduro Headlamp has issues  Feb 04, 2011
By Arthur Niederfringer "Arthur Niederfringer"
Purchased through Amazon, this Streamlight 61400 throws out light equivalent to the heavy headlamps of the past. While the older lights used 14-53 LEDs, the Streamlight uses only one! On Amazon I purchased the Petzl E91 PO Tikkina 2 Headlamp at the same time. A comparison is useful.

I find the Streamlight high beam perfect for night use and the low beam suitable only for close reading. The lamp could use a middle power. The Petzl has the same 2 LED settings, but achieves a better compromise.

While it uses only 2 AAA batteries compared with 3 AAAs for the Petzl, the unit seems heavier. The Petzl has a flat lamp 2 LED design with a wide rubber base resting comfortably against your forehead. The Streamlight uses a bullet lamp with a very small rubber disk strapped against your forehead, so the lamp tends to hang uncomfortably. It is not suitable for longer periods of reading.

The Streamlight 61400 has an unusually difficult battery case with an opening to the side of the forward-facing lamp. The cover is attached to the case with an elastic strap. You need tiny fingers to twist the battery cover open and you struggle to close it after inserting the batteries. I spent ten minutes at this until the unit finally lit up. I dread having to change the batteries.

Due to the bullet lamp design, LED power issue, and battery case problem I would not recommend this lamp.

4better than i expected.  Nov 08, 2010
By Rachel Chadwick
I purchased this headlamp to wear while running in the ragnar relay race.( a headlamp is required as the race goes all night and is in some remote areas. I was worried that it would be either uncomfortable being tight or keep slipping off my head while running. But neither was true at all. It didnt slip one bit and it was actually quite comfortable. The light was bright enough for the purpose intended.
