Good little appliance Jul 01, 2010 Works well as long as you don't overload it. Often I find spinning for a little then redistributing makes it run better.
Cautiously optimistic Jun 15, 2010 I have used the mini countertop dryer for several washings in one day and was quite satisfied with the performance. I mainly bought it for hand washing wool sweaters and other hand-knit items. (Since I now have a front loading washing machine I cannot as easily manually advance the machine to avoid agitation.) I set the device up next to my utility sink. After soaking the woolen item in the sink with tepid water and Eucalan, I drained the water and rinsed. Then I squeezed the major bits of water out with my hands and put the lot in the spinner. Within a minute of spinning the items were only slightly damp, much less damp than if they had gone through a spin cycle in the washing machine. I was very pleased.
Be careful to read ALL the instructions when unpacking even the tiny print! There is a piece of plastic screwed to the bottom of the machine to secure parts during shipping. Although I read the instructions, I did not see this warning until there was some damage to my countertop. It is a small scratch but not welcome. So be sure to remove the screw and plate before using.
Also, the drainage hose extension does not fit but I did not need it. This might be an issue for some people.

1600rpm vs. 3200rpm. Apr 29, 2010 Watch Video Here: http://www.amazon.com/review/R3IGYBBPK1MGX9 This spin dryer does perform some drying for clothes that come out of a regular washer with the spin cycle, but not as much as I liked. I felt that this would help some in making their decision. On the other hand, I'd like to praise The Laundry-Alternative's more expensive spin dryer Centrifugal Clothes Portable Spin Dryer which extracts A LOT OF water while the spinner spins twice as fast at 3200 instead of 1600rpm (maybe 6 ounces for 3 minutes, while the smaller machine may remove about an ounce for the same amount of clothes). Personally, I was looking for a review of someone who used a regular washer and spin dried their clothes with this, but there weren't any reviews. My review may get a lot of negative feedback, but will save a couple of people money, and that's why I write reviews in the first place. Also, you may find that the prices may be less buying directly through The Laundry-Alternative. Hope this helps someone.
3 stars for my purpose and 5 stars for people who own a Wonderwasher gives a fair average of 4 stars. Please let me know if this was a helpful review.

Clothes hang dry faster! But their are better machines out their. Apr 16, 2010 I bought this after I got the wonder wash, I could not wring out the cloths by hand. Be careful of how much you put in it. Shirts or pants filled to the top with the protector disk will work wonders, but one over soaked towel may be to heavy for it so a little winging might be needed. It starts wobbly for a couple of seconds, but then settles down. Just like any other washing machine this does get off balance, a lot, don't leave it unattended. For the tube to work, you mush have it hanging down, so the dryer mush be on a counter or even outside. It does the job it is supposed to and cuts down hanging drying time. If you set cloths out side to dry on a dry, sunny, or even windy day, they are dry in about 30 minutes. Hung inside about 1 or 2 hours. If you hang them in side to boost drying time, hang on a metal rack and put a fan on them. I hope this review helps.
I love it, but it still has some kinks in it that need to be fixed.
Also it is about 25 lbs and is twice the size of the preview picture or even the guy on you tube. (which he is a beta tester)
