I have been a camper for years. This is the brightest, most useful lantern I own. The size is perfect, and the diffusion lens creates a very pleasing and useful light. The brightness is quite stunning for a lantern of this size. They wisely provide a dimmer switch that allows you to turn it down when you don't need as much light. The battery level indicator is also a nice touch. For a mini LED lantern, this is the one you want!

After reading the other review, I took a chance on this sturdy little lantern when I found it our our local Lowe's for about $33.00. I think the price may scare some away but this is the best of these small AA powered lanterns that I have found. It is simple, well made and very useful for camping or emergencies. The quality of construction, diffused light, dimmer and battery level indicator are all things that set it apart for me. Good job, Coast!

Extremely bright, white, light especially for such a small lantern. First led light that I have been impressed with. Gives off a bright white light as opposed to the standard blue from led's. Battery life seems to be almost endless.
