Could not wait for Christmas to use it Nov 29, 2010
By Patrice Bonnefoi I received this heating blanket as a gift. It was supposed to be for Christmas, but I could not wait and had to open it as it is starting to get chilly here. The other day, as I was shopping, my 14 and 15 years old would not leave the car, throwing the homework card to stay in the car. I was not comfortable leaving the engine running while I was away from the car, so I got the blanket from the trunk, plugged it in in the front and gave it to the kids in the back. Both of them fit under the blanket and I could check that it was warming up before I left. I explained the kids how to adjust the temperature with the wheel on the controller. When I came back 20 minutes later, the boys were reading their books and told me jokingly that from now on, they will always stay in the car while I shop. I did not check how the timer works, but both reported to be very comfortable. Of course that did not let them off the hook to unload the car when we came back home.

survival grade car electric blanket Dec 26, 2010
By Pilipo This 12 volt electric blanket is perfect for those needing warmth while waiting in a car in cold conditions. These would also be best for those traveling in motor homes and pick up truck bed campers. I ran mine intermittently all night and my car was still able to start the next morning. It has low amperage draw, and automatically shuts off. This blanket takes some minutes to get fully warm so be patient. I think every car traveling through cold climates should have one of these in case road conditions require the need to pull off road and shut off motor.

My daughter loves it! Jan 10, 2011
By John H. I bought two blankets, one for my truck and one for my wife's car. My 9 year daughter complains that her legs get cold in "daddy's truck". The blanket warms up nicely. I like the adjustibility of the amount of heat and that you can choose it to operate for different amounts of time. It is large enough for at least two people to use it across their laps. The bag is nice too, to help keep the blanket clean.

Great heated blanket, subpar outlet plug Mar 22, 2011
By X. HAN I bought this heated blanket after reading reviews on Amazon. Although I agree with most of the reviews with respect to the quality and the warmth of the blanket, I had a major problem with the outlet plug in that I had to position the outlet plug just right in my 4Runner's 12V power supply for the blanket to work -- this was also the case in my brother's Prius and a Land Rover we used this in.
The electrode contacts were not engineered well in that the contacts would only connect some of the time. Either that or I received a defective product. I returned this heated blanket and opted to upgrade my car with WarmSeats heated seats, which were a pain in the butt to install but work great.

Yep, this it it! Jan 16, 2011
By Dr. Experimentor I try different things that I think might make a difference. Living in MN during the winter can be a chilling experience. With sub 0 temperatures much of the time, an electric auto blanket that worked well and quickly would be something we could greatly benefit from. We ordered 7 blankets and they came within days. More importantly, they work great. All family members said the same thing. The price was reasonable and the comfort it provides is outstanding. There is also peace of mind regarding an emergency situation.
