the best sharpeners yet Jul 17, 2009

I have tried many different sharpeners. These are the best yet. Will last forever. Reasonably priced. The finer stone I use for my kitchen knives. the medium and course I use for my garden clippers and tools. From years of use, I can give these sharpeners a five star rating without qualification

A very nice set of sharpening tools for very little money Feb 22, 2008
By Mitch G. I'd recommend these to anyone with varied sharpening needs. They are a little smaller than I expected, but they work fine. I know the older models came with a nice wood handle, but hey, it's 2008 and the set is under $20 for the three.

Decent for the money Jan 09, 2011
By C. D. Pritchard I've used these EZE-LAP L PAK Set SF/F/M Color Coded Diamond Hones for years for sharpening knives and think they are good for the price. To me, it's easier to sharpen a knife with these than with a bench stone. Tips: Clamp the knife's handle to a table or in a vise and sharpen it with one of these by *lightly* pressing the index finger of the hand holding the hone directly atop the where the hone touches the knife. One can better maintain a constant bevel angle this way. Try to orient the knife and/or your line-of-sight so that the bevel of the knife catches the light right. This allows you sharpen at the correct angle- i.e. maintain the existing bevel. Change the lateral angle the knife is honed at when you change grades of hones. With the prior tip, one can get a decent edge quickly. The finest hone really isn't really fine enough for a good edge. Honing a micro bevel with an inexpensive ceramic/"crock" stick is a fast way to get a good edge.

Love Eze-Lap Aug 30, 2007
By M. D. Barnhorst These are the easiest and fastest means of sharpenning knives, scissors and other tools that I have ever encountered -- innumerable uses around the house and shop. Small and light as they are, I take at least one of them with me whenever I travel as well. I highly recommend this product.

I should have bought DMT product Jun 18, 2010
By Alex Kuznetsov My other diamond sharpeners are DMT. This set was my first EZE-Lap product. While EZE-Lap hone is less expensive than DMT the overall quality is also not as good. Not sure if it is the diamond quality or the way they are attached but EZE-Lap just does not perform as I expect from a diamond sharpener. I guess I am spoiled by DMT. My EZE-Lap hones get very little use but they already lost much of it's diamonds. My DMT hones are going strong after 3 years with no visible lose of diamonds or sharpening ability.
