When I was going to college, and had no $ for "luxuries" like laundry detergent, I did my wash for about a year with two things; Fels-Naptha Soap and baking soda. I rubbed the good old bar of Fels into any obvious dirty spots, dumped 3/4 cup of baking soda in, and washed away.
Although it didn't make my 'whites whiter" it did a fairly acceptable job. The Fels soap here does a very good job of getting out even ground in dirt, and the baking soda removed any odors.
There are newer laundry pre-treatments that are better for certain types of stains no doubt (I remember Fels worked poorly on blood stains- don't ask). But this stuff works darn good on ordinary grime and one bar will last you forever. Why on earth you'd need a pack of two is beyond me, tho. Leave the other in your will?

DO NOT purchase this item from Amazon, because the price is very high! I purchased this from Amazon and then later found the same product for much cheaper at Wal-Mart. I paid $0.97/bar (plus tax)at Wal-Mart as opposed to $4.20/bar here on Amazon.

I had to try this soap after reading the reviews. I treat a lot of tough stains.
Be warned, this bar reeks of perfume that offends my nose.
It is so strong I put it under the sink thinking it would kill spiders. The scent did not stay under the sink and my whole house reeked. Now it is perfuming my garbage can outside. WHEW!

This product is simply amazing! It gets out any stain you need to remove! There is nothing better than this product here. Highly Recommended!!!

Got this soap for 99 cents a bar at my local superstore. This is too expensive for only 2 bars.
