For the most part this is a good product. The joints are made well. The wash panel is made and designed well. The undulations are angled so the water moves downward.
However, it could have been made just a little tighter width wise. The medal panel falls through when you use it. One of the nails on mine was shot through the inside edge so it split the wood on the inside. Not a good thing because this could cause a splinter injury.

i couldn't wait to get it.
I live in an efficiency, very small with no windows. my building has laundry rooms on every floor. but i don't always have money for that with a 1.75 to wash and a 1.50 to dry. I'm one of those people who lets everything pile up to the end of the month and does it all on one day.
i decided to get this washboard due to my 'lack of money' situation. and i must say, once you get the hang of it? it works like a charm. i googled the whole 'how to wash with a washboard' thing and followed the steps carefully. because of this it took for ever (my computer is in my bed-area while i was in bathroom doing everything). but once i got everything down, i washed half the month's laundry in about four hours. what it usually would have taken me to do my laundry in a washer... with a work out included.
it's big enough and durable enough to do towels, however, >_> i'm not strong enough to wring them out by hand so i think i'll stick to washing them in the washer. but my clothes have never felt this clean. I'm really happy i bought this. i'm thinking of doing the laundry everyday as part of my morning routine after a shower to keep the washing down.
it's alot of fun.

There is nothing else that will clean the bottom of those white socks or dirty washcloths like this scrub board. Just a few scrubs takes out all that ground-in dirt. This washboard is very sturdily built, the ribs of the board are just deep enough and not so deeply ribbed that even the finest of fabrics can be cleaned of spots and stains. The wood of the frame is smooth and well put together.

This washboard gets the job done at a decent price, I haven't had any issues with it yet. Seems to be somewhat durable.

If you have to wash something by hand then this is the product to use. It is sturdy and well made with smooth wood and sizable scrubbing area. It sure beats rubbing a garment between your fists.
