Perfect for camping! 2 years and still going strong! Jun 28, 2010 I love this skillet! It is the only thing I use when we're camping to cook breakfast. There is plenty of room to make some bacon and eggs or pancakes and sausage. I bought this Coleman skillet 2 years ago and have had absolutely no problems with it. It is used every day on every camping trip we take. It cleans up like a dream and starts every time with just a click of the button. I think the previous reviewer must have received a lemon because I have never had any problems with the feet melting or the skillet not heating up properly. With this skillet and our Weber Q grill, we have everything we need to cook on our camping trips. Buy this skillet, you will love it!

I would rate 0, but it does work after fixing. Sep 05, 2009 This thing melted all four plastic feet the first time I used it. It never got the skillet hot enough to make hash browns, so I had to re-engineer it. See the review at: [...]
After adding insulation and modifying the heating fingers, it will work. I can fry hash browns on medium (as one would expect), whereas before it could not cook anything on high, and now the feet do not melt off (of course, I replaced them with wood).
So, if you want to rebuild the skillet, it will actually work. If you want it to work out of the box (and after assembly), good luck!

Perfect for camping! Jun 25, 2009 The family planned on a long camping trip and though we did have a single burner stove that worked fine, but we could only cook one thing a time. We decided that we needed a skillet that would be multifunctional as space was limited in the truck. While shopping online I ran across the Coleman Skillet and it seemed to fit the bill! The 100 oz (bigger than you might think) non-stick surface was the quality I would expect from a Coleman product and it worked beautifully on everything from pancakes and sausage to fish. The heat was distributed fairly evenly and the large skillet even allowed me to be able to put a pot on the side and cook several things at once. The sides of the skillet are high enough that food won't spill over. The InstaStart feature was a nice touch as well. I never had any problems with the skillet and clean up was a breeze. We were gone about 3 weeks and used the skillet almost every day for breakfast and dinner and only went through about 3 propane bottles. The other thing I really liked about the skillet is it allowed me to expand what I could (and was willing) to cook since I didn't have to deal with so many pots and pans. It was a great addition to the camping gear and I don't regret spending the money!

Must have for camping! Jun 11, 2008 I purchased this item for my in-laws. They camp all summer. They can not stop raving about it. They take it outside the camper to cook. My mother-in-law loves it because my father-in-law loves to cook on it. It is very easy to clean and it doesn't leave the camper with the smell of what ever you are cooking. Great Product!
