5Worked perfect  May 07, 2011
By J. Davis
Needed a larger gauge wire for some malibu lights I was installing. The smaller gauge wasn't working, by the time the current got to each light, they got dimmer and dimmer. Replaced the wire with this thicker wire and the problem was solved. All my lights are bright now. Good price and shipped fast.

5Very pleased  Jul 19, 2011

I'm replacing 16 wire that came years ago with a Malibu set of lights. The switch to heavier gauge wire has made the low voltage light much brighter. The cable appears to be very well made.

5Does the Job  Dec 05, 2011
By tgodfrey39
We started with a basic landscape lighting kit. Everything worked great until we decided to add more lights. Then we blew the original transformer. Went up to a much larger transformer but still lost light with every successive lamp on the line. By the end of the row the light was barely on. Then we realized we needed a much heavier gauge wire. This did the trick...very happy with the result.

Was initially cautious to buy wire by mail but the weight and quality compares to other similar wire. With free shipping it is a deal for those larger low voltage runs where you need bigger gauge wire to control power drops.

5High quality cable with substantial gauge to be able to run long distances!  Apr 24, 2012
By jjceo
This is a good high quality wire for use with low voltage lighting. It is 12 gauge wire which is pretty substantial and will have a lower resistance than the smaller cables sometimes supplied in lighting kits. The lower resistance will allow the lights to be brighter, not load down the lighting power supply and let you go further in distance than you could with smaller wire.

I had some long sidewalks and a lot of landscaping so I needed more cable and I had to run longer distances. This cable is described as industrial grade cable and I can vouch for that fact. It is rated for being buried under ground and it did a good job on my project.

I highly recommend it as a good product!
